Dandelion Root can be dried, roasted and ground and brewed into an herbal coffee substitute. You can make a tea infusion of the root as well and it's thought to bring about enhanced psychic awareness and dreams. A steaming cup of this infusion placed by a window is thought to call in spirits. This little plant's reputation of being impossible to get rid of, though who really wants to, and its roots burying themselves deep within the soil are thought to connect this plant to the Underworld and the Goddess Hecate. You can slice the fresh root into 1/4 inch thick slices, pierce each one with a needle and string them along on some thread. Once you've finished, hang them to dry, and once dry you can use them as ritual beads to wear or carry and call upon Hecate. Dandelion Root helps ease frustrations and stay focused on our path ahead while staying connected with our bodies - which is what makes it a great herb to use while working with your Root Chakra.
