The seventh chakra, Sahasrara or the Crown Chakra. In Sanskrit, Sahasrara means "thousand-petalled" and refers to the infinite petals visualized in the traditional chakra system though in Buddhism it is imagined as having 32 petals. Located within the aura above the head, the Crown Chakra represents enlightenment, pure awareness, and an ability to escape from the endless cycles of birth and death. It is connected with inspiration and creativity, similar to the Third Eye Chakra.
