Eleuthero, also called Siberian Ginseng, is a small, woody shrub native to Eastern Russia, China, Japan, and Korea. Due to overharvesting and the plants naturally difficult germination, Eleuthero is approaching the endangered species status. The root of Eleuthero is most commonly used for medicinal and magical purposes, and is typically harvested early autumn.

Eleuthero is well known for its plethora of medicinal uses, and as being one of the first named adaptogens out there. The root of the plant made into a tincture is used more so to maintain good health, rather than treat ill-health. Due to its adaptogenic status, the plant is most commonly used to treat mental and physical stress, but is also used for things such as improving athletic performance and stamina, reduce exhaustion, and boost the immune system.

In magical practices, Eleuthero is also used to strengthen one's resilience and stamina. Due to its masculine/expressive energy, it has also specifically been used to increase fertility in traditionally male reproductive systems. Eleuthero root is also used to attract money and to break hexes and curses.
