Wintergreen, also known as Checkerberry, Mountain Tea + Teaberry, can be used in protection spells, rituals, candle magick and incense blends. When sprinkled in the home it removed hexes and curses (mix with mint to amplify its power). It is commonly used in healing spells, and when placed on your altar it calls good spirits to witness and aid in your magick. 

Wintergreen contains salicylic acid (a natural aspirin) which can help to reduce inflammation and pain. It is seldomly used internally today.
