A 20 to 30 million-year process creates this pseudomorph of coral that becomes fossilized and replaced by cryptocrystalline quartz and thus becomes agatized. Coral has been used by some practitioners as a support during trauma therapy as it helps work through emotional issues from dysfunctional family and relationship dynamics. It’s seen as a calming stone thought to cool tempers in an aggressive home and bring harmonious energy into the space. Agatized coral is believed to help energize a person to create, modify and sustain change in both their inner and outer worlds.
