Clarifying, uplifting, and protective, Palo Santo wood chips are collected exclusively from the aged, fallen branches of the sacred Bursera graveolens tree, native to South America. Translating from Spanish as “Wood of the Saints” or “Sacred Wood,” Palo Santo releases a sweet, aromatic smoke with notes of pine, mint, and lemon when burned.

Closely related to Frankincense, Copal, and Myrrh, Palo Santo is a sacred tool for energetic cleansing of spaces, bodies, and objects. While it can be used similarly to sage or cedar for smudging, it is often recommended after an initial cleansing, as its sweet smoke replaces removed negativity with protection, blessings, and positive energy.

Beyond its magical applications, Palo Santo has therapeutic properties, historically used to alleviate headaches, reduce anxiety, and promote overall wellbeing.

Common Magical Uses:

  • Cleansing & Purification: Burn to energetically cleanse spaces, objects, or auras.
  • Protection & Safe Travel: Smoke or carry in ritual bags to shield against negativity.
  • Blessings & Spiritual Upliftment: Use during meditation, prayer, or ritual work to invite positive energy.
  • Hex Breaking & Uncrossing: Include in incense blends or ritual fires to dispel curses, hexes, or ill intent.
  • Healing & Emotional Balance: Burn near altars, ritual baths, or living spaces to relieve stress, uplift mood, and support overall wellness.

To honor the sacredness of the tree and protect the ecosystem, we work exclusively with suppliers who harvest sustainably from naturally fallen branches, trade ethically, and support local communities. This ensures that Palo Santo remains a respectfully framed and spiritually potent resource.

  • "Small" bags are full 2x3" re-sealable zip lock bags. Roughly 0.65 oz per bag.
