Since ancient times, the Rose of Jericho has been used in Witchcraft and Rituals to aid in areas of longevity, resurrection and re-birth, abundance and finances, love spells and good health. Not only is the plant itself and the process of opening it (or closing it) full of magical properties, but the water used to open it is rich in uses, often being called light water. It is never to be discarded and is valuable in so many ways.
These magical beings are desert plants and need to be watered just above the roots in a low, flat bowl or dish to open. To close, simply allow to dry. The Rose of Jericho will continue to open and close this way whenever it is needed.

I’m so enthralled by the wonder of this amazing plant. Watching it slowly open up to the world after seemingly dying is a deeply beautiful reminder of the life and possibilities that come after a time of change, introspection, and rebirth. Hope for the future is upon the horizon and this amazing plant solidifies that.
