Goldstone is made from human-made glass infused with particles of copper and to get the blue hue cobalt, manganese or chromium are added. It was originally created by the Miotti family in Venice in the 17th century and since glass is made from silica (quartz sand) this man-made stone has found its way into metaphysical shops everywhere.
